Native-Owned & Value Driven

As a Native-owned business, our work is guided by stewardship, patience, and respect for material. We believe furniture should be made to last—crafted with care, intention, and accountability to the land it comes from.

Every piece we create begins with respect—for the land, the wood, and the space it will live in. Our materials and methods are guided by longevity, integrity, and a commitment to craftsmanship that honors the full life cycle of the wood.

Materials

Thoughtfully Sourced Parota (Guanacaste)

We work primarily with Parota wood, selected for its sweeping grain, warm tonal variation, and structural performance. Each slab is hand selected from Costa Rica and chosen for its natural character and movement—ensuring no two pieces are ever alike.

Our slabs are sourced responsibly from trees that have completed their natural life cycle or were removed for land stewardship purposes. We do not harvest living old-growth trees.

Drying and Preparation

All slabs are prepared specifically for fine furniture and architectural use.

• Extended air-drying
• Kiln-dried to furniture-grade moisture levels
• Carefully monitored to reduce movement over time

This process supports durability across residential, hospitality, and project-based environments.

Live Edge - Refined & Refinished

We preserve the organic contour of the tree while refining it for daily use.

• Fully debarked
• Smoothed and hand-shaped
• No bark, no rough edges

The result is a clean, sculptural live edge that feels intentional, comfortable, and timeless.

Craft & Construction

Each piece is built one at a time in our shop.

• Precision sanding for a smooth finish
• Structural stabilization of natural voids when required
• Bases selected for balance, strength, and visual harmony

When epoxy is used, it is applied with intention—to preserve and stabilize the wood, never to overpower it.

Process

Discovery

We review scope, intended use, timelines, and design goals to ensure alignment before materials are committed.

Material Allocation

Slabs are selected and reserved based on scale, availability, and visual continuity when multiple pieces are involved.

Design Coordination

Dimensions, bases, finishes, and installation considerations are confirmed in collaboration with designers, builders, or owners.

Finishing & Release

Finishes are applied based on use requirements and reviewed prior to delivery.

Fire-retardant finishes or treatments may be applied using approved products when required for hospitality or commercial installations, in accordance with project specifications and applicable fire codes.

Delivery or Installation

We coordinate local delivery, white-glove service, or nationwide freight shipping depending on project needs.

For Designers, Builders & Project Teams

Kiln-dried slabs • Spec-aware fabrication • Consistent material selection for multi-piece projects • Lead times and volume considerations available upon request.

Our philosophy is simple: exceptional materials deserve patience and respect.

From the moment a tree completes its natural life, through careful drying, shaping, and finishing, we honor its transformation into a lasting piece. The goal is not trend-driven furniture, but work that endures—meant to be used, gathered around, and passed down.
